I have my folders created on my computer. I need to go through documents and start sorting next. I also have the website I will be using to create my portfolio: Weebly. It is easy to use and I am narrowed down to two themes.
I was thinking of sample unit plans as another category to add to my portfolio. Also, I would like to have a category dedicated to videos of student teaching lessons.
I have narrowed down to two different themes for my portfolio. One being a nature theme with pictures of roads to signify a journey being taken in my future classroom. The other being a literature theme with quotes from famous and prominent literary figures in the past and present.
Status Report 2
I continued to play around with theme this day and went through more themes on the Weebly website. I ended up with one that had trees and a naturalistic approach. But the end I decided I didn’t like it and changed it to “book theme”. I left my website unsatisfied.

When I worked on my portfolio this day, I first went to working on getting more items placed within my categories. I continued to search through my email and googledocs. I also contacted previous partners that I completed lessons and units with to retrieve lost work. I then got the idea from peers to add a picture of myself. I still played with my theme and changed it to some art motif thing that had nothing to do with education. Yet again, I left unsatisfied with my theme.

11/16/12 – I continued to find a theme and purpose in my electronic portfolio, to no avail. I went ahead and focused on adding information to my website. I finished added a description of myself on the first page.

11/23/12- I decided to change my theme to this really simplistic flower page. The colors are soothing and there isn’t much that “jumps out at you”. I want to keep the page simple but visually appealing. I have a feeling I will want to change it again but it is the best I can come up with right now. I finished my content knowledge page and uploaded my papers.
